The Longère

The Longère, a typical farmhouse set in its 3600 m² (38,750 ft²) of enclosed and secure grounds with trees and flowers, is an easy-to-live-in country house of 155 m² (1614 ft²) refurbished in 2022.

With 3 bedrooms and a 38 m²(409 ft²) living room, La Longère can accommodate 6 people* in its 3 bedrooms.

A high-tech kitchen with the dimensions of yesteryear: 32 m2 (344 ft²) with an open fireplace and a gas piano cooker, for those who want to go all out in the kitchen.

You access the shared pool area of the HPS estate via your private secure gate.

Description of the Longère Accommodation - HPS

In the heart of the Sancerre vineyard, enjoying an exceptional view over the hills, discover the 3 HPS Comfort gîtes, rated 4 épis by Gites de France and 4 stars by Atout France 2023. Our "Ready to live" gîte concept allows you, upon your arrival, "to take your time to live, to be free"... in harmony with the land, nature, and your roommates and stay-fellow. Since 2019, we have been committed to a daily approach of environmentally respectful renovations and protection of the fauna and flora on the estate.

Located 7km from the Loire River, in the center of France, between the Centre-Val de Loire and Burgundy regions, this destination allows you to organize your reunion while limiting travel for everyone. Quick access by train is possible: 1h40 from Paris Gare de Bercy to Tracy-Sancerre station (or Cosne sur Loire). We can provide information about local taxis and bike rentals for your stay.

Property Description

Stay at La Longère to recharge in absolute tranquility while being close to everything, in this former farmhouse of 157 m² (1,690 sq ft), featuring 3 bedrooms, 1 mezzanine, 8 beds, with a beautiful private garden of 3600m2 (0.89 acres) filled with flowers and trees, and fully enclosed. In summer, access the shared "pool relaxation" area of the estate through your gate at the back of the garden (secured with a unique code). This house was fully insulated, renovated, furnished, and decorated at the end of 2022 with high-quality materials, respecting the "country" style while adding "high-tech" comfort, neutral decor, and practical amenities. It features central heating, hot water, and a gas stove.

Ground floor:

  • 1 double bedroom with a 140cm bed + 1 child bed 120x60cm
  • 1 large triple bedroom of 17m2 (183 sq ft), with a 140cm bed + 1 high-comfort sofa bed 90cm (IKEA LYCKSELE LÖVÅS) + desk
  • A large 7m² (75 sq ft) bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet area, washing machine with drying rack
  • A second separate toilet on the ground floor
  • An old-style kitchen of 32m² (344 sq ft) with a 90cm range cooker and an open fireplace
  • A 38m2 (409 sq ft) cathedral-ceiling living room with mezzanine (meals can be served for more than 20 people)

First floor:

  • 1 triple bedroom with a 160x200cm bed + 90x200cm bed
  • 1 Mezzanine with 3 90x200cm beds with privacy screens + play area

Equipment: Appliances, washing machine and drying rack, high-end bedding, Linvosges Prestige for soft Percale washed towels and bed linen. Acacia tables, loungers, parasols. Weber Gas Barbecue/Plancha, which complements the traditional charcoal BBQ.

The outdoor spaces have been redesigned among fruit and ornamental trees. The diverse flower plantings are spread from April to October, which will delight you as well as the abundant wildlife in the garden (pheasant hens, squirrels...).

High-speed fiber internet, teleworking zone, aromatic herb garden, Baby kit available on request: travel cot, high chair, baby bath, toilet reducer.

 

Our "Ready to live" Gîte Concept

To start your stay as soon as you arrive and reduce your luggage, here are the HPS services included in your package: The beds are made, towels placed on each bed, bath mats provided with Avène/Bioderma shower gel... (purchased from the pharmacy). HPS offers you the loan of over 45 indoor and outdoor games for all ages.

All basic ingredients await you in your Gîte (we kindly ask you to replace them before your departure): for cooking (oils, vinegars, condiments...), washing (shower gel, toilet paper, paper towels, tissues) and... for routine maintenance (laundry and dishwasher tablets, kitchen soap)... and all the robots and dishes necessary when you like to cook!

You will also find a selection of teas and 3 coffee machines (filter, Nespresso, Delonghi, with some capsule reserves, coffee beans, ground coffee), sugar sticks....

In addition to our interior and exterior maintenance/cleaning of your Gîte and the common Pool area, we are also your "Concierge" service: from the moment you book and during your stay, we are at your disposal to prepare the stay that suits you. We advise you according to your ideas for the many sporting, cultural, recreational, and oenological activities around Sancerre. We can discuss your menu ideas and advise you on local merchants who best meet your wishes, and indicate those for whom an order is necessary! (Butchers, delicatessens, caterers, picnic baskets, cakes, special gluten-free breads... Assortment of BBQ meats, varied salads..) Wine cellar visits... bike rentals.

Exterior: in your private garden, you will find tables, chairs, sun loungers, parasols, for you to enjoy as you wish. In addition to the traditional BBQ, you can easily enjoy your stay with your Weber Plancha/BBQ, for which we provide a first gas cube.

Administrative and Financial Details

The owners will welcome you with a welcome basket and explain the gîte and how it works. A 'house information' booklet is sent to you following your booking, to help you prepare your stay and provide tips and information about the region. During your stay, we continue to provide a concierge service; we are at your disposal to help you organize your activities, your choice of restaurants, catering service on reservation, childcare, shops....

A global package, excluding heating costs, which includes:

  • Accommodation rental fee
  • Mandatory cleaning fees: Cleaning is done at least once a week, garbage emptied
  • Mandatory household linen fees (Sheets, Towels, Kitchen towels): The beds are made on your arrival (fitted sheet, flat sheet, duvet cover, pillows), towels (bath towel, hand towel) prepared in your rooms. We offer beach towels for use in your private park and for the pool area, upon request.
  • Maintenance and welcome fees: maintenance of the house, interior equipment, exterior equipment (tables and chairs, sun loungers, parasols, gas BBQ/Plancha), maintenance of the private park including during your stay (watering of flower beds by tanks), daily maintenance of the pool area with verification of safety and hygiene parameters - twice a day.
  • Local tourist taxes 2024: €1.21/day/adult.
  • Electricity consumption: consumption is included in the package up to 8kWh (Gîtes de France rules): beyond that, billing at the current EDF rate.

Heating/Air Conditioning Costs

The heating methods differ according to the gîtes, and their costs are at your expense in addition to the package as follows:

  • In the HPS Cottage, you benefit from mixed heating:
    1. Ground floor and 2 of the 4 bedrooms are heated by the fireplace insert
    2. Additional heating is provided by high-performance 2019 ceramic inertia radiators set at 19° upon your arrival. Price based on EDF meter readings at the current rate.
  • In the HPS Villa, you benefit from mixed heating:
    1. Living room heating by fireplace insert
    2. Additional heating is provided by an air/water central heating system with heat pump set at 19° upon your arrival. Price based on EDF meter readings at the current rate.
  • In the HPS Longère, you benefit from gas central heating:
    1. Heating is provided by gas central heating set at 19° upon your arrival. The package is €30/day.
    2. Additional heating is provided by the open fireplace in the kitchen.

Booking Process

The Booking (through an OTA) is final for check-in upon receipt of: Signed descriptive sheet, balance paid, address, ID card/Passport, 'Holiday home' insurance certificate of the tenant, list of residents (holiday home certificate per household).

The Booking (direct) is official upon receipt of: Signed contract (where you accept the descriptive sheet and the General Terms and Conditions of Sale), deposit paid, address, ID card/Passport, 'Holiday home' insurance certificate of the contractor, list of residents (holiday home certificate per household).

Deposit for booking by bank transfer: 25% non-refundable in case of cancellation (except for COVID government measures).

Balance: Payment of the Balance by bank transfer at the latest 30 days before the arrival date.

Check-in Procedure

Documents to be provided: 'Holiday home' Home Insurance Certificate and signature of the Pool Regulations per household. Signature of the Pool Waiver for families accompanied by minors.

Security deposit: €1000 by check or bank transfer (made before arrival), credited back at the latest 7 days after the end of the stay (or bank imprint by the OTA when in use).
