What is a rural gite rental?

Rural gîtes are vacation homes available for short-term rentals. The entire accommodation will be at your disposal during your stay, as if you had a second home.

Unlike hotels and bed and breakfasts, you will be self-sufficient and will need to do your own shopping, cleaning, and won't have access to hotel services.

But each house is different, and you won't feel like you're in a chain hotel, but in a new home with private common areas.

What should I bring for my week in a holiday rental ?

The rural gite is a furnished rental. Bring everything you need to live there: your belongings of course, but also kitchen linens, your bath towels, your food, and your cleaning products (at least the essentials).

We offer as an optional extra the rental of sheets and bath towels. You can choose this during your booking.

We always provide basic kitchen products such as oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Bring other goods with you or buy them locally.

The gite is equipped; you will find tools for cleaning, cooking, washing, etc.

Are there any charges to pay?

Our rental price includes water, gas, and electricity. Heating is extra.

We also provide a free Wi-Fi internet connection.

Household linen and sheets are also provided.

We offer bed linen and bath towels as an option.

How does arrival and departure work?

We will welcome you on site, show you around the accommodation, give you the explanations you need, and hand over the keys to the accommodation.

For departure, we will also be present to collect the keys and do the check-out inspection with you.

Arrivals are generally from 5 pm and departure before 10 am. If you need specific times, contact us to arrange arrival and departure details.

You will be welcomed on site by a person we have appointed for this purpose. They will show you around the accommodation, give you the explanations you need, and hand over the keys to the accommodation.

For departure, the same person will be present to do the check-out inspection with you and collect the keys.

Can I get a rental contract?

Once you have made your booking, we will send you a confirmation email with:

  • a rental contract
  • our rental conditions
  • the summary description of the accommodation
  • instructions for paying the deposit and validating the contract.

In this confirmation email, you will have a personal link that will allow you to find all the information about your booking. We use "Gîte et Bien" services for our reservations, and these tools allow us to offer you reservation tracking as if you had booked on major platforms like AirBnb, Booking, or Gîtes de France.

An option is placed on the gite while you validate the contract and send your deposit payment. The deadline is specified. Beyond that, the gîte is put back on sale for the requested period.

Once the deposit is paid and the contract validated, you will have to pay the balance 30 days before your arrival.

Sometimes, when the stay is close, we ask you to pay the entire stay or to pay the balance upon arrival.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes, we require a deposit of 25% of the reservation amount to confirm it.

When the stay is close, we may ask you to pay the full amount of the stay in the deposit or agree with you to pay the balance on the day of your arrival.

What are the cancellation conditions?

Once your booking is confirmed with the payment of the deposit, the cancellation conditions depend on how close the stay is. The further in advance of the stay you are, the higher the refund, as we will have time to offer the accommodation to other clients again. If you cancel shortly before the stay, we keep part of the reservation amount.

Each booking is different and has its own cancellation conditions. We invite you to consult our general terms and conditions from the footer of this page or log in to your reservation area where the cancellation conditions specific to your stay are indicated.

Can I take out cancellation insurance?

We do not offer cancellation insurance ourselves, but there are many insurance companies on the internet that offer this service. Go to Google and type "Cancellation Insurance", you will find many.

The best known is Europ Assistance, but there are many others. Be careful to compare, the most expensive are not necessarily the best.
